Data Analytics and AI – You Cant Handle The Truth

Without a hint of irony…we asked ChatGPT to write an update the “You Can’t Handle The Truth Speech”  on the importance of data analytics…..

Son, we live in a world that has data, and that data has to be cleaned and analysed by someone. Who’s gonna do it? You? You, Lieutenant Weinberg, with your PhD?

I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You pity data analysts and curse the simplicity of SQL, but you have the luxury of not knowing what I know: That data analytics, while old-fashioned, is the necessary precursor to artificial intelligence. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, solves problems.

You don’t want the truth because deep down in places you don’t talk about at parties, you want me on that database, you need me on that database. We use words like “accuracy,” “precision,” and “recall.” We use these words as the backbone of a life spent analysing data. You use them as a punchline.

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very data analytics I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide them. I would rather you just said thank you and went on your way.

Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a calculator and start crunching some numbers. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think you are entitled to.
